Lloyd Robert "Bob" Hughes, 71 of Idabel, passed away April 10, 2021 at Texarkana, Texas.

He was born November 16, 1949 at Roswell, New Mexico, the son of Loyd and Jewell Hughes.

He was a faithful member of the Idabel Church of God. He married Tammy on February 1, 1992 at the Idabel Church of God.

Bob's first love was God. He was very bold in his faith and was always a gentle and faithful servant of the Lord. He knew the scriptures well. He was easy to talk to and could give advice without judgement. He was generous and a helper of those in need.

Bob enjoyed building things, working, and doing anything he could to stay busy. He loved nature, hiking, and attending old car shows, especially the one at Beaver's Bend, which was a favorite hobby of his.

Bob is survived by his wife, Tammy Hughes; daughters, Tamera "Tami" Cooper of Idabel, Teresa Hilton and husband A.D. of Idabel, Lybbee Ebahotubbi of Broken Bow; son, Kevin Hughes and wife Kristina of Cameron, Oklahoma;

Sister, Roberta Sparkman and husband, Cliff of Idabel; brothers, Larry Hughes and wife, Linda of Silverton, Oregon, Eddie Hughes and Lisa of Albany, Oregon, Johnny Hughes of Silverton, Oregon;

Eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, special friends, Jill and Kevin Jones; beloved dog, Jake; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda Ginsburg.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the Idabel Church of God, Thursday April 15, 2021 with Bro. Wayne Freeman officiating. Interment will follow in the Denison Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, April 14, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, family request that contributions be made to the Church of God Memorial Fund, 120 Russell Road, Idabel, OK.

*Bob was a very good friend to me and my girls he was so awesome he made us cookies and cakes he was a good cook we loved him with all our hearts my daughter called him papa she ask me if he was her papa and I told her no she said no wonder he looked at me like I was crazy lol but he was one my favorite person he will be truly missed by us and the Lord has a wonderful angel with h now

Lloyd Robert "Bob" Hughes, 71 of Idabel, passed away April 10, 2021 at Texarkana, Texas.
