Mrs Alex Dunfield Passes In 83rd Year.
The death of Ila Mae Dunfield of Almonte occurred at the Almonte General Hospital on Tuesday night, October 27th, following a lengthy illness. She was in her 83rd year. Born in Toronto, she was the daughter of the late George Jackson and his late wife Phoebe Jane Tucker. She had resided in Almonte for the past 40 years and was a member of Almonte United Church. She is survived by her husband Alex Dunfield, one son Wilfred E. of Almonte and two daughters, Laura E. (Mrs Lilburn Wilson) of White Lake and Aleta J. (Mrs Robt France), Almonte; also one brother, Charles A. Jackson of Carleton Place and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. The funeral was held from the Comba Funeral Home with burial at Auld Kirk Cemetery. Services were conducted by Rev Robert McCrea. The pallbearers were Messrs George Dunfield, Cliff Black, Kenneth Jackson, Wilbert Monette, Ivan Bird and Mac Moulton.
