Stacey Joanne Hale, 44, of Columbus, passed away unexpectedly at 1:44 a.m. Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Stacey was born February 23, 1977, in Columbus, Indiana, the daughter of Thomas R. Hale, Jr. and Linda Hale.

She graduated from Avon High School, Avon, Indiana in 1995. After moving to Columbus, she attended Vincennes University for a short time to study architecture. Afterwards, she attended flight attendant school in Texas and worked as a flight attendant out of Chicago for American Airlines. After the scare on 9/11 she returned to Columbus and began working at Cummins in Walesboro. She worked at Cummins for 10 years before becoming ill.

Survivors include her mother, Linda Hale of Columbus; brother, Brian (Jennifer) Hale of Indianapolis; sister, Melissa (Brandon) Crawford of Tennessee; nephews, Jacob and Collin Crawford; grandfather, Donald Dean of Wabash, Indiana; uncles, Jay Dean of Mishawaka; Jeff (Roberta) Dean of Wabash and aunt, Pat (Scott) Howard of Jenison, Michigan. She is also survived by many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas R. Hale, Jr.; sister, Lori Hale; aunt, Deborah Schofield; grandparents, Tom and Thelma Hale; grandmother, Betty Dean.

The funeral will be conducted on Monday, April 19th at 3:00 p.m. (EST with Pastor John Sichting officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service Monday at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at 12:00 p.m. (CST) Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Park in Evansville, Indiana.
