James Adams Bourne of Earleville MD, formerly a resident of Massey, Kent County, MD. Jim died April 20, 2014 at Shore Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Chestertown, MD; at the age of 82.

Jim, was the third son of Thomas Blake and Edith Humphreys Bourne of Millington, MD. Jim was born in Easton, MD on April 11, 1932. He was a graduate of Sudlersville High School. Jim then enlisted in the U.S. Navy, and served in the Atlantic fleet for three years. After Jim was discharged from the Navy, he enrolled at Villanova University; where he majored in Geology. After which he worked at various jobs in New York and Washington, D.C. Finally he returned to the family farm where worked until obtaining employment at the LaMotte Chemical Co of Chestertown, MD; where he worked for the next 30 years.

After retirement he was actively engaged in his hobbies, as an avid gardener and antiques collector.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Thomas Blake Bourne, IV and Fr. Peter Humphreys Bourne. He is survived by his sisters, Patricia B. Bryant of Earleville, MD and Sr. Joan Bourne, DC of Danville, PA; brother, Michael O. Bourne (Ann Atwater) of Chestertown, MD; sister in law, Alicia M.J.H. Bourne and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 10:30 am at St. Dennis R.C. Church, Galena, MD; preceded by visitation at the church from 10 to 10:30; with Interment following, at St. Dennis Cemetery at Saint Dennis Parish Cemetery Lambson's Station.
