Doris Jean McKee, 82, of Clinton, died at 5 a.m. Sunday (Oct. 21, 2007) at ManorCare, Normal.
She was born Sept. 29, 1925, at Clinton, to Samuel and D. Marie Stone Evans. She married James David McKee on March 1, 1946, at Birkbeck. James passed away Aug. 2, 1998.
Surviving are her children, Beverly Jean (George) Mullins, Decatur; David Michael (Charlotte) McKee, Sullivan; James Robert (Sherrie) McKee, Farmer City; Doris Marie (W.C.) Burkett, Clinton; and Thomas Andrew McKee, Montreal, Mo.; 19 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, three brothers and one sister.
She was a member of Clinton Assembly Of God Church, Clinton.
She was Mrs. Santa Claus at the Gas Light Square, Clinton. She was "Granny" at Granny's Kitchen at PTL South Carolina. She always was a caregiver to the children and the elderly.
