(July 8, 1962 - March 31, 2021)

Marjorie A. Bearsheart, 58, of Mobridge, S.D., passed away March 31, 2021 in Mobridge at the Mobridge Regional Hospital with her children by her side.

Marjorie was born in Douglas, MI, on July 8, 1962 to Linda Paul of Timberlake, S. D. and Eldred Fasthorse of Eagle Butte, S.D. She was later adopted as a baby to Laura and Herbert Bohlander of Glenham, S. D. where she grew up, attended school and graduated with the class of 1980.

Grandma Laura always said Mom was her birthday present as her birthday was one day before hers. She played basketball, the piano, organ, drums, accordion, and guitar. Later in her 20s she met her birth parents and grew relationships with that side of her family. She found that she was a direct descendant of Chief Gall and had many other family members.

She was infamous around the area for her piano playing skills. Marjorie played for many churches, weddings, funerals, and other ceremonies. Later in life Marjorie became a 911 dispatcher for the Mobridge PD for 10 years, she was very proud of that.

In 1988 She met the love of her life Larry Paul Bearsheart. They were married in 1993, together they had a blended family of eight children. They loved to go on road trips together for sports events or pow wows. They were together for 32 years before her husband passed away only 4 months ago. She was his sweetheart and he always made sure she was very loved and cared for.

Marjorie is survived by her eight children, Carrie Bohlander (Charlie) of Selby, S.D; Clint Bohlander (Allie), of Mobridge; Jessica Farley (Ryan) of Klamath, CA; Joshua Defender (Ashley), of Crescent City, CA; Jeremy (Kim) Bearsheart, Jesse (Stephanie) Bearsheart, of Mobridge, S.
