Born February 7, 1927 in Baltimore, a daughter of the late Harold and Ruth (Windle) Lentz, she had worked at South Pine Nightwear, Moser's Restaurant, and in gift wrapping at Boscov's for 23 years.
Mrs. Gilbert is survived by three sons, Gregory W. Lentz, and his wife Linda, of Brooklyn, New York, Jan F. Gingerich, and his wife Linda, of Summerville, South Carolina, and Dana M. Gingerich, of Valley Center, Kansas; eight grandchildren, Alisha, Jason, Eva, Peter, Andre, Anna, Brandy, and Brittany; a sister, Virginia E. Gladfelter, of York; and a brother, Richard F. Lentz, of Saint Petersburg, Florida. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Richard F. Lentz.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 AM Thursday, April 15, 2021, at William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 South Main Street, Manchester, with The Rev. Paul Frank officiating. Viewing will be 9:30-10:30. Burial will be in Canadochly Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the York County SPCA, 3159 North Susquehanna Trail, York PA 17406; or to Canadochly Evangelical and Reformed Church, 4845 East Prospect Road, York PA 17406.
