Harry Eugene Goss, 89, of Arborwood Living Center, Granger, Indiana,formerly of Magician Lake, Dowagiac, Mich., was born in Mishawaka, INon June 1, 1914 to Rynaldo and Minnie L. (Hissong) Goss. He was alifetime resident of the Michiana area. He graduated from the formerSouth Bend Central High School in January 1932. On July 4, 1935, hemarried Jeanette Esther Schwartz in St. Paul Lutheran Church in SouthBend, Ind. She preceded him in death on Jan. 8, 1985. He was alsopreceded in death by two sisters and a brother, Helen Reaves of SouthBend, Kathryn Smith of Mishawaka, and Karl Goss of Angola, Ind, andTucson, Arizona. Harry started his career at Bike Web in South Bend(1933-1937). He was plant superintendent of Smoler Brothers(1937-1949). In 1949 he went to Ball Band (Uniroyal inc) of Mishawakawhere he was a general foreman, retiring in 1970. In retirement hewas a self-employed upholsterer. Mrs. Goss is survived by fourchildren, Ronald Goss (Constance) of Salem, S.C., Sally McConnell(John) of South Bend, Gloria DeBuysser (Robert) of South Bend and KentGoss (Nancy) of Eaton, Ind; 12 grandchildren, Kelly (Jeffrey) Cowsertof South Bend, Mark (Constance) McLOchlin of Granger, Ind, Sherri(Jack) McDonald of Germantown, Tenn, Kathy (Bryan) Landen ofBargersville, Ind, Karen (James) Bond of Bella Vista, Ark, Scot (Ruth)Goss of Knoxville, Tenn, Joy (Bret) Crumpton, of Columbus, GA, Juli(Curt) Neteland of Highlands Ranch, Colo., Bruce (Catia) Goss ofBrazil, South America, Brad (Jennifer) Goss off Muncie, Ind, Brett(Stephanie) Goss of Muncie, Ind, and Jennifer (Spencer) Ritchie ofKokomo, Ind. He is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren.Visitation will be from 9 to 11am Friday October 31 with servicesdirectly following at 11am in the St. Paul Lutheran Church, corner ofAuten and Laurel Road, South Bend. Cremation will take place.
