Robert Charles Deaton sadly passed away on March 9, 2021 at his residence in Spokane. Robert was born in Danville, NY January 13th, 1965 to George and Marilyn Deaton. Growing up he enjoyed all outdoor activities, active in the church and Boy Scouts. Upon graduating high school Robert joined the Air Force. He served active duty from 1983-1990 at Fairchild AFB as crew chief on KC-135A models. In 1990 he was assigned to Kaden AB, Japan and was crew chief on KC-135R aircraft. In November 1992 he separated form active duty and joined the Air National Guard and was assigned to the AGS squadron as a Crew Chief on KC-135E. During his 24 years of service MSgt Deaton served in several world hot spots including both Gulf Wars and the conflict in Bosnia. In addition he worked 26 years with the USPS.

On December 1, 2001 Robert married the love of his life Jill. Together their blended family enjoyed travel, camping and endless family times together. One of Robert's greatest joy's came when he got to be a Papa! His beautiful smile that he is known for, lit up around the kids, they where his pride and joy! You are so loved and will be immensely missed!

Robert is survived by his wife Jill Deaton, his father George Deaton and brother John Deaton of Perry, NY. Children Jessica Rychalski, Dale Chodorowski, Travis Rychalski, Conner Rychalski, Brianna Deaton and Jakob Rychalski all of Spokane. Plus five grandchildren!

The graveside service will be at Greenwood Memorial Terrace Friday April 23rd at 12:30pm. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:30pm at the VFW Post 1474, 2902 E. Diamond Ave., Spokane, WA 99217.
