A celebration of life for Keith Lynn Yeager, 66, of Coos Bay, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 26, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 1290 Thompson Road, in Coos Bay, with Pastor Jon Strasman, officiating. A reception will follow at the Red Lion Inn, 1313 N. Bayshore Drive, in Coos Bay.

Keith was born Nov. 26, 1949, in Fargo, N.D., the baby of eight children, to Elton and Lucille (Smith) Yeager. He died March 21, 2016, in Springfield.

He was raised on the family farm in Felton, Minn. Keith worked for neighbor farmers and a local spraying company and construction company. In 1973, Keith married, Connie Steinbach. In 1983, they moved to Coos Bay, where Keith was employed by the Bracelin-Yeager Company, until they sold to Knife River. He retired in 2010. Keith found many very good friends, that carried him, until his death. He loved spending time with his family and friends, going to sporting events, hunting and fishing. Keith always had a smile on his face and a story to tell. He never knew a stranger and was very proud of his children, Stacey and Russell and loved when he talked to his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Connie Yeager, of Coos Bay; children, Stacey Anderson and husband, Jim of Callaway, Minn., and Russell Yeager of Coos Bay; grandchildren, Michael and Alyssa Anderson of Callaway, Minn.; brothers, Irvin Yeager and wife, Dianne of Coos Bay and Earl Yeager of Felton, Minn.; brothers-in-law, Jerry Kurpius of Hoyt Lakes, Minn., Duane Rafteseth of Hawley, Minn., and Jerry Steinbach of Felton, Minn.; sister-in-law, Eva Yeager of Eugene; pet cat, Rocky; many wonderful nieces and nephews and several, everlasting friendships. He gained many extra daughters and sons, through his children's friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elton and Lucille Yeager; siblings, Elton Leroy Yeager, Eugene Yeager, Kenneth Yeager, Doris Kurpius, and Maxine Rafteseth; and grandparents, Charles and Kathryn Smith and Homer and Florence Yeager.

Cremation rites have been held with inurnment in Felton, Minn. Arrangements are under the direction of Coos Bay Chapel, 541-267-3131.
