Sue was born on April 7, 1962 in Hancock, Michigan to Deane and Rita Wick. She was a 1980 graduate of West Aurora High School in Aurora, Illinois. She graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering in 1984. On June 9, 1984, she married Ryan Craig Johnston. Sue was a loving mother of two children, Kaitlin and Connor.
Sue had a passionate and determined personality. There was no task that was too difficult for Sue to handle. She worked in the engineering industry for twenty years developing and manufacturing products. She enjoyed watching sports, gardening, and time spent on Lake DeMontreville. Above all else, she was a proud mother, devoted wife, and dependable friend who gave unparalleled wisdom to every person she touched.
Sue was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy, and her mother, Rita. Sue is survived by her father, Deane; her sister, Karen (John); her husband, Ryan; her two children, Kaitlin (28) and Connor (26).
The visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at BRADSHAW, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater from 4-7PM. The funeral service is scheduled for 11AM on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Guardian Angels Church in Oakdale, Minnesota. Please comply with the given social distancing requirements at each venue.
