Wendy T. Avram, age 64, of Attica, MI passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Seasons Hospice at Harper Hospital, Detroit, MI.

Wendy was born November 29, 1953 in Flint, MI to Clyde and Joyce (Gerwolds) Thatcher. She was a Central Michigan University Graduate and a LakeVille Schools teacher, retiring after 30 years of service. Wendy married Allen Avram December 17, 1977 at the Columbiaville United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with her family and friends at Sage Lake. Wendy always enjoyed being outside kayaking, water-skiing, snowmobiling, and she was an avid Michigan State football and basketball fan. Music was her passion, especially playing her dulcimer, guitar and ukulele with her friends. She was a member of the Columbiaville United Methodist Church.

Wendy is survived by her loving husband, Allen; mother, Joyce Thatcher of Columbiaville; sister, Kathleen (William) Sudia of Davison; niece, Nicole (Matthew) Krause of Frankenmuth; nephew, Adam (Tiffany) Sudia of Fenton and great-niece and nephews, Jacob, Isabella and Benjamin Sudia and Trevor Krause.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Thatcher in 1988.

The family will receive visitors from 2-6 PM on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 and from 2-8 PM Thursday, December 21, 2017 at the Avram Funeral Home in Mayville and from 10 AM until the time of service on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Mayville United Methodist Church.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Mayville United Methodist Church, 601 East Ohmer Rd., Mayville, MI 48744, with Pastor Carole Brown officiating.

Burial will take place at Oregon Township Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wendy Avram Memorial Scholarship Fund through LakeVille Schools, or to the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute.
