Lawrence E. "Ernie" Wright, 69, died Tuesday.
An Air Force veteran of the Korean War, he was born Aug. 27, 1926, in Big Springs, Neb., and was an engineer in the aerospace industry and a seven-year resident of Las Vegas.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; son, Guy; both of Las Vegas; daughters, Linda Simmen of Cocoa, Fla., and Vicki of Las Vegas; brothers, Cy of Hermosa, S.D., and
James of Hyannis, Neb.; sisters, Theraldine Williams of Pocahontas, Iowa, Darlene Chick of Hyannis and Sharlene Jenkins of Alliance, Neb., and six grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Bunker Mortuary handled arrangements.

Lawrence E. "Ernie" Wright, 69, a former resident of Arroyo Grande, died Tuesday Oct. 31, at a hospital in Las Vegas, Nev.
Interment was Monday, Nov. 6, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nev.
Mr. Wright was born in Big Springs, Neb., on Aug. 27, 1926. He lived in Arroyo Grande from 1973 until retiring as an aerospace engineer in 1990. While in Arroyo Grande, he was an active member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church and owner of the Feed Barn in Nipoma.
He is survived by his wife: Patricia Wright of Las Vegas, Nev.; his daughters: Linda Simmen of Cocoa, Fla., and Vicki Wright of Las Vegas, Nev.; a son: Guy Wright of Las Vegas, Nev.; and six grandchildren.

He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and an aerospace engineer with McDonnell Douglas, Vandenberg Air Force Base, CA, until retiring in 1989. He is survived by his wife Patricia, son Guy, daughter Vicki, all of Las Vegas and daughter Linda Simmen of Cocoa, FL; brothers, James of Hyannis, NE, Cy of Hermosa, SD; sisters Darlene Chick of Hyannis, NE, Sharlene Jenkins of Alliance, NE, and Theraldine Williams of Pocahontas, IA and six grandchildren.
Graveside services were held in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
