Passed away peacefully at Barnswallow Place, Elmira on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at the age of 84 years.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Elizabeth in 1996, Joseph is survived by his stepchildren, Scott (Carol) Richards, Jane (Richard) Bourque, John (Barb) Richards and six grandchildren Ryan, Andrew, Stephanie, Brent, Matthew and Nathan.

Joseph was born in Gorinci Yugoslavia. He was a long-time employee of Waterloo Metal Stampings (Waterloo Furniture Components). Joseph will be remembered for his green thumb, his passion for gardening, his incredible work ethic and his love/hate relationship with puzzles.

The family wish to extend their appreciation to the staff and residents at Barnswallow Place for the loving care shown to Joseph during his time there.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Joseph with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 from 10-10:45 am. The funeral service will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 11:00 am. A reception will be held in the Fireside Reception Room followed by interment at Woodland Cemetery.
