Robert "Bob" Lewis Norman, 77, of the Cherry Grove Community of North Myrtle Beach, SC, died March 7th, 2021 at Embrace Hospice House after a hard-fought battle with ALS. Born July 21st, 1943 in Charlotte, NC, he was the son of the late James B. and Ruth Ratcliffe Norman. As a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran, Mr. Norman served in the Vietnam War and was a lifetime member of the VFW. He took great pride as a Marine in his service to his country. He graduated from East Mecklenburg High School in 1961 and also received a degree in accounting. He was a business owner of Gravure, Inc. and retired in 2009, after 30 years of dedication. He continued to assist friends, family, and colleagues with financial wisdom and guidance until just days preceding his death. Many would say he was known as a "giver" and it would be hard to find a man more generous than Mr. Norman. He had the gift of spreading laughter, and often eased many difficult situations with his humor. Mr. Norman was a protector of his family and loved them dearly. He was a member of Chapel By The Sea Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, choir member, and he also served on the finance committee.
