Mr. James "Leo" Caldwell, age 81, of Zebulon, died Friday, April 9, 2021, at Navicent Health in Macon.

Mr. Caldwell was born on April 12, 1939, in Taylor County, to the late Windham Caldwell, and the late Lala Ivey Caldwell. He served his country in the US Navy aboard the USS Boxer. He worked as an electrician and maintenance supervisor for Pike County, and was also a member of Mt. View Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas, Billy, and Leon Caldwell, and sister, Wilma Smallwood.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Jean Caldwell of Zebulon; daughter, Lisa (Matthew Gadigian) Caldwell of Conyers; son, Johnny (Sandy) Caldwell of Meansville; sister, Frances Orange of Thomaston; grandchildren, Joshua (Dara) Caldwell, Amanda Caldwell, Bryson Woods, Shelby Woods, Brayden Woods; great-grandchild, Finn Caldwell; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Southview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 12, 2021, from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Cancer Group at Mt. View Baptist Church at 2569 Jeff Davis Rd. Thomaston, GA 30286.
