Marilyn Claire Delord Marks passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday morning, December 20, 2016. She was 84 years old. Beloved wife of Louis "Jay" Marks for over 60 years. Loving mother of Debbie Cassisi (Scott), Kerry Marks (Kris), Scott Marks (Elizabeth), and Kim Brehm (Eddie). Grandmother of Brandi, Brandon, Leigh, Charles, Savana, and the late Casey. Great-grandmother of Jasmine, Katelyn, Illiana, Aiden, and Camille. Sister of Patricia Delord Garcia (the late Gene). Daughter of the late Maurice and Irene Delord. Marilyn was born in New Orleans and was a lifelong resident of Metairie. She was a graduate of Dominican High School and Soule Business School. She was Director of Metairie Senior Citizens Ceramic Class, and was an active member of Elmwood Fitness Center on Lake Avenue. Marilyn will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial from LEITZ-EAGAN, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Metairie, on Thursday morning, December 22, 2016 at 11:30.
