"PEACE I LEAVE WITH YOU, MY PEACE I GIVE TO YOU; NOT AS THE WORLD GIVETH, GIVE I UNTO YOU. LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED, NEITHER LET IT BE AFRAID.
JOHN 14:27

On Friday, March 19, 2021, our beloved brother departed this life to eternally be with the Lord. Morris Hill, Sr. was born on Sunday, July 14, 1963 in Augusta, GA to Mrs. Mary Lou Ivery Hill and the late Mr. Ivery Hill, Sr. Morris, Sr. was the seventh child out of nine born to this union. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Sim Hill and Jeffery Hill.

Morris, Sr. affectionately called "Mo" was educated in the public school system of McDuffie County, GA. He decided to move to Philadelphia, PA in 1982. So he left Georgia with his Aunt Rossie "Rene" and his Uncle Rob to start his life in Philly. Needless to say, Mo never returned home to live in Thomson, GA again. He found much happiness in Philadelphia, PA. While in Philadelphia, Morris, Sr. furthered his education by attending college at the All State Driving School in Pennsylvania. He received his CDL (Commercial Driver License) and began his career as a Professional Truck Driver. Mo was gainfully employed by Nexeo Solutions of Morrisville, PA for over 20 dedicated years until his health started to decline. He also worked for Jones New York of Pennsylvania in the Distribution Center for 10 years.

Shortly after his birth, Morris, Sr.'s name was placed on the members' list/roll of the United House of Prayer for All People in Dearing, GA by his mother. He was a lifetime member and continued in this faith until his demise. Morris, Sr. and several other young men in the House of Prayer was a member of the Musical Shout Band.

From the city streets of Pennsylvania to the country roads of Georgia, Morris, Sr. loved all of his family no matter where they were in this world. Not only was he a great father to his children, he was always there for them. Morris, Sr. was also an exceptional provider and very adamant about being in his children lives.

He leaves to cherish his most precious of memories: four children, Colice Walker (Terrance Rogers) of Bristol, PA, Devan Harris, Beijing Hill, and Morris Hill, Jr., all of Philadelphia, PA; five grandchildren, Amirah Rogers, Zi'Nay Rogers, So'Nia Rogers, Aque-Aleem Rogers, A'Jah Rogers, all of Bristol, PA; a loving mother, Mary Lou Hill Belton of Thomson, GA; twelve siblings, Norma Lee (John) Parker, Johnny Lee Hill (Deborah Wilson), all of Thomson, GA, Apostle Marion (Saint Sheila) Hill, all of Newport News, VA, Leonard (Pamela) Hill of Augusta, GA, Leon Hill, Annette (Dennis) Ficklin, Ivery, Jr. (Alice) Hill, Zelda (Henry) McNair, Jacqueline Rolling, Darriek (Geraldine) Rush, all of Thomson, GA, Denead (Lee) Buoy, all of Augusta, GA and Heaven Hill of Thomson, GA; three aunts, Mildred (Grover) Watson of Cincinnati, OH, Queenie Caesar and Bernice Hill, both of Thomson, GA; one uncle, Roy Murray of Thomson, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends."
