Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 14 at Wade Funeral Chapel in Hubbard with Mr. Steven Hetherington officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Penelope Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 13 at the funeral home.
Larry was born December 26, 1950, in Portsmouth, Virginia to Charles and Irene (Crocker) Watson.
He married Jane Trejo on September 2, 1972, and they lived in Penelope for the past 45 years.
Larry worked for Fleetwood Mobile Homes, Central Texas Trailways, and retired from West Propane Gas. He and Jane were active members of the Hubbard Church of Christ for many years. Larry was a proud military veteran having served in the Army including a year tour of duty in Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charles Watson, Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Watson of Penelope; two daughters, Wendy Markwardt and husband, Steven of Hallsburg and Kimberlee Owen of Penelope; brother, William Watson, and wife, Melissa of Tennessee; sister, Sherry Lynn Watson of Bynum; four grandchildren, Nicholas Markwardt, Caitlin Markwardt, Baylee Owen, and Jace Owen and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Pallbearers will be Richie Moore, Casey Moore, Bobby Trejo, Mario Leija, Caleb Moore, and Tim Leija.
Honorary pallbearers will be Nicholas Markwardt, Caitlin Markwardt, Baylee Owen, and Jace Owen.
