On April 8,2021, Daniel (Dan) Dean Duke peacefully passed away with his loving partner and best buddy Zanna Child by his side.

Dan was born in Ogden, Utah to Theodore Roosevelt (T.R.) and Lillian Duke on November 4, 1946. He was the sixth of seven children.

Dan loved to watch sports! Baseball was his favorite, especially the Boston Red Sox. Dan loved to read and he had a very sharp mind, he knew a lot about many things! He was a big war history buff and you could always count on him to fill in the gaps. Dan also enjoyed fishing and bird hunting. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports and he was known to show up to events with goodie bags for the kids which always included a lot of bubble gum!

Dan is survived by his three daughters whom he had with Janis Chase Montgomery. Debra Dean Dlouhy, Darci Dawn Robertson and Danielle Dean Thon, who was named after him. His daughters blessed him with eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Dan is also survived by his brothers: Bill Duke, Ted Duke. George Duke and one sister Helen (Mag) Eddings.

He is preceded in death by his parents, younger brother Paul Duke and older sister Patsy Brown.

A private celebration of his life will be held at his favorite fishing hole this summer.

His family and friends will always remember his playful personality and his kisses. We love you Papa Dan!
