Donald D. Berry, of Erie, IL, passed away unexpectedly on April 9, 2021. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening April 13, 2021 from 4pm to 6pm at the Runge Mortuary and Crematory in Davenport Iowa. Funeral services will be held Wednesday April 14, 2021 at 10am, also at the mortuary. Don will be laid to rest at Davenport Memorial Park cemetery. Memorials may be made in Don's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Don was born on May 24, 1942 in Ava, Missouri to Doyne and Verdia (Leek) Berry. On September 3, 1964, he married Patsy Baenziger in Las Vegas, Nevada. They enjoyed 42 years of marriage until her passing in 2006. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, bee-keeping, playing cards with his poker group, and spending time with family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory are children, Michael Berry, Ella (Gary) Bright, and Cindy Berry (Michael Beyer); grandsons: James Collin, Joe (Keegan) Strabala-Bright, Ryan Collin (Katie Cook), Jordan Bright, Cody Beyer (Brittany Volquardsen) and Jace Bright; great-granddaughters: Madolyn, Addison, and Kenleigh; brother John Berry; sister Sue (Dale) Meumann; many nieces and nephews and special friend Kay Dobbins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
