Patricia Ann Brinkley, 77, of Fossil, died Saturday, May 31, 2014.

She was one of seven children born to the late Lynn and WillieMae Wilson, September 29, 1936, in San Pedro, Calif. Patricia graduated from Torrance High School in 1954. She married Robert Wayne Brinkley in 1955, where they lived in Torrance, Calif., before relocating to Fossil in 1966.

Patricia had a passion for taking care of people. She was a 25-year volunteer EMT for the Fossil Ambulance and taught EMT certification classes. She was instrumental in founding Air Life of Oregon (now Airlink Critical Care Transport) throughout Wheeler County. Patricia was also co-owner of Fossil’s Texaco service station and repair shop for 14 years.

Patricia is survived by her three children: Bob Brinkley of Hermiston, Jim Brinkley of Prineville and Joseph Brinkley of Bend. She is also survived by six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Fossil Ambulance in care of The City of Fossil.

A life celebration and potluck will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014, at the Masonic Hall in Fossil.
