Joshua Lee Hawkins of Coker, Alabama passed away on April 8th, 2021. A visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home in Northport this Tuesday, April 13th, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The funeral will follow Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Sunset Funeral Home

Joshua Hawkins was preceded in death by his grandfather and favorite travel companion Joseph Lee Hawkins.

Joshua was born and raised in Tuscaloosa County and was a proud graduate of Tuscaloosa County High. Even without formal training, he cherished writing, playing and listening to music of all genres, especially with the members of his band False Fate and as a member of the TC Singers and the Alabama Boys Choir. Despite congenital hearing loss, when he auditioned for the Alabama Boys Choir Josh was complimented on his perfect pitch. As a young man, he saw much of the beauty and grandeur of the United States on long road trips with his loving grandparents in their camper.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, Joshua's family asks friends and loved ones to consider donating to a fund to help cover funeral expenses.
