dignified battle with kidney disease, Clara departed this life on March 28, 2021.
Clara's genuine warm spirit and unwavering heart allowed her to open her doors to all who crossed her path. She never refused anyone a meal, a place to stay or even just an encouraging word. Although she physically birthed three children, the number of those whose lives she touched is countless. When asked how many children and grandchildren she had, her response would be "UMPTEEN". She LOVED family gatherings, trips to Atlantic City, crocheting, doing crossword puzzles, playing the lottery and would ALWAYS say, "I missed it by one number."
Clara leaves to cherish her memory her favorite aunt, Azalea Eurie of Newark, NJ; daughters Denise Jackson of Bloomfield, NJ and Terri Jackson of Orange, NJ; 9 grandchildren - Jamir (Tierra), Rashon, Jovan, Ashanda, Janise, Anton, Tyren, Briana and Roman; 1 great-granddaughter Ajoi; 1 sister-in-law, Rose Goode of Newark, NJ; 5 stepchildren; Lawrence, Loretta, Shalanda, Bobby and Roshawn; a host of cousins and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her mother Willa Mae Jackson, husband Lawrence C. Bailey and son Daniel A. Jackson.
