PIONEER LADY PASSED AWAY – Mrs. O. H. Crowe, Native of Oregon, but a Resident of Moscow and Vicinity Since Childhood, Succumbed to Lingering Illness – Following an illness of many years, Mrs. O. H. Crowe of 215 South Lilly street, wife of O. H. Crowe, passed away today. Death was due to tuberculosis. The deceased was a pioneer resident of the Northwest, having been born in Yamhill county, Or., September 6, 1865 and was therefore 50 years of age. She came to the Thorn Creek section when a mere child and has resided there and in Moscow ever since.
The deceased was a lady of fine character and had many warm friends in this community. During the past few weeks she had become seriously ill and it was known that the end was near. All the members of the family were present when she passed away. The funeral will be held from the Christian church at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon. Besides her husband and two sons and three daughters, the deceased is survived by her mother, one sister and two brothers.
The children are Mrs. Myrtle White, Great Falls, Mont.; Charles Crowe, Moscow, Bertie Crowe, Stites; Mrs. Iva McShane, Pullman; Ava Crowe, Moscow. Her mother is Mrs. Sarah E. Clark of Moscow. Mrs. Oscar Hill of Pullman was a sister and the brothers are Bay Clark of Farmington and Frank A Clark of Moscow."
