Jeanette Johnson, age 93 passed away on April 8, 2021 peacefully in her home in Pensacola, FL. Funeral services for Mrs. Johnson will be Monday, April 12 at 1:00 at Faith Chapel North in Pensacola, FL. Burial will follow in Pensacola Memorial Gardens. Rev. Gene Hudson will officiate. Visitation will be April 12 at noon at Faith Chapel North.
Jeanette lived in Pensacola for over 60 years. She was preceded in death by her spouse of 59 years, Roland Johnson; mother, Lounette Price; brother, J.C. Hayes; Niece, Beverly Sparks; Nephew, Bill Hayes, and great Nephew, Kevin Small. She is survived by her sister, Aline White; nieces: Michelle (Abe) Flowers, Mary (John) Bargainer, Kendra Small, Sydney Small, Madison Small, and Chelsea Flowers; nephews: Don (Sheila) Fischer; Denver Hayes, Ken Small, Donnie Fischer, Jr., Jessie Fischer, Wayne Flowers, and Evan Small along with numerous extended family and friends, who loved her dearly,
Jeanette was the support system of the family. She quietly ensured the cooking was done, bills were paid and all ran smoothly, from behind the scenes. Having no children of her own, her nieces and nephews were like children to her. She had tremendous artistic talent evidenced in her painting and jewelry design. She happily shared those skills with many. She also had a great singing voice and sang with her sister as part of Smokey Metcalf and the Sunshine Sisters in their youth. Her quick wit and quiet strength will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
