John "Gerry" Holloway, 71, of Cleveland, TN, passed away on April 6, 2021 at his residence. He was of the Baptist faith. Born to the late Katherine Holloway and John Samuel Holloway on August 13, 1949 in Tuscaloosa, AL. John served in the U.S Army, 82nd Airborne as a green beret. He loved cooking, reading, westerns, crossword puzzles, bird watching, and famous for his chili.
Preceded in death by his parents and cousin, Stanley Kerr.
Survived by the mother of his children and lifelong best friend, Jackie Earwood; son, John Samuel Holloway; daughters, Debra Holloway and Heather Junghanel; siblings, Randy Holloway, Mike Holloway, and Royce Holloway; grandchildren, A.J. Hernandez, Josh Hernandez, Stephanie Hernandez, and Samuel Anderson; great-grandchildren, Cayson Maddux, Hayden Maddux, Allia Hernandez, Beckett Hernandez, and Kenna Hernandez; aunt Minne; many nieces, nephews, special cousins, Linda Hawkins, Tommy Kerr, and Ray Kerr.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Sugar Creek Cemetery with military honors.
