Steven Max Gibbs, 60, of Danville passed away December 8, 2011 at Hendricks Regional Health. Steve was born March 19, 1951 in Anderson, IN to Glendon Max and Janet Johnson Gibbs.

Survivors include his mother, Janet, sister, Jacqueline Gibbs, nieces, Kendra (Brent) Castle and Casey Rhoades; nephews, T.J. Rhoades and Dusty (Breanna) Rhoades. He was preceded in death by Max and a brother, Tom Gibbs.

Steve was a 1969 graduate of Danville Community High School and attended Purdue. He worked in retail golf and car sales for many years. Steve enjoyed sports and was an avid reader and exceptional golfer. He enjoyed spending time with his golf buddies.

A private memorable service officiated by Ben Keckler will be held December 17, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Twin Bridges Golf Course. Memorial contributions may be made to the Max Gibbs Memorial Scholarship with Hendricks County Community Foundation, a dog rescue of your choice, or the Hendricks Regional Health Foundation.
