Nancy Lindsey, 77, of East Galesburg, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, 8:15 PM at Hillcrest Home, Geneseo.

Nancy was born on April 5, 1944, in Kewanee, Illinois. She was the daughter of John and Viola (DeBord) Decker. She married Everett Lindsey on April 13, 1963 at the Kewanee United Methodist Church. Together they built and celebrated a life of 49 years. He preceded her in death on April 5, 2013. Nancy is survived by two sons, Michael (Sheri) Lindsey of Geneseo and Steven (Susan) Lindsey of Omaha, NE; two grandchildren; three step grandchildren; one great-grandchild; eight step great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Barb Talbot of Kewanee; and many nieces and nephews. Along with Everett, she was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Francis Decker.

Nancy attended Kewanee schools. She retired from Bridgeway, Inc. Nancy had a quick wit and was extremely intelligent. She loved to do crossword puzzles…in pen. Nancy also enjoyed playing hidden object video games. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A private scattering of cremated remains will be held at the East Linwood Scattering Gardens. Arrangements have been entrusted with Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes and Crematory, Knoxville. Memorials may be made to the family for a charity to be decided at a later date. Expressions of sympathy may be left to the family at www.hurd-hendricks.com.
