Mrs. Jo Ella (Barry) Hardy age 89, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2012 at E.T. York Hospice Care Center in Gainesville. Mrs. Hardy was born on June 3, 1922 in Brooker to the late Otis and Mattie (Tillis) Barry and was a lifelong resident of Bradford County. She was a homemaker a longtime member of First Baptist Church, and member of the Starke WomenÕs Club. Jo Ella enjoyed the CRS Card Group, was a supporter of the Santa Fe College foundation, a member of Starke Altrusa and Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years J.E. Hardy. Survivors are: daughters: Janet Sapp (Jim) of Marietta, GA; Jayne Mendenhall (David) of Athens, GA; June Schlader (Carroll) of St. Johns; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren. Memorial services for Mrs. Hardy will be on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH, 163 West Jefferson Street in Starke with Reverend Ben Bryant officiating. Interment will be private in Crosby Lake Cemetery.
