Fredrick Allen Anderson, Sr.,81, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Thursday, April 8, 2021.

Fred met the love of his life, Sammie, in Baton Rouge, as a teenager, they soon wed and enjoyed spending time with their friends and family; Fred especially loved to dance, fish and play cards. They moved back home to DeRidder to build their own cabinet shop; he was a custom home builder, but he put his heart and soul into building cabinets. Fred was the first person to be baptized at Grace Church in DeRidder while the church was still under construction. He went on to usher there for more than twenty years. Fred loved to hunt and fish. He loved his children, but especially loved his grandchildren. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all those who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of sixty-one years, Sammie Anderson of DeRidder, LA; son, Freddy Anderson, Jr. and Michelle of Prairieville, LA; daughter, Ellen Anderson Brooks and David of St. Amant, LA; brothers, Richard Anderson of DeRidder, LA, Steve Anderson and Nancy of Baton Rouge, LA, Robbie Anderson and Norvella of Dallas, TX; sister, Wanda Niles of South Haven, MI, Beverly Cagle and Larry of Chicago, IL; eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren plus one on the way and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his infant twin sons; parents, Walter and Lillian Anderson; brothers, Walter Anderson, Donald Anderson, Jimmy Anderson, Hershel Anderson; sister, JoDell Welborn.
