Ray loved life, he loved hunting, fishing and riding his custom motorcycle. But most of all . . . he loved his family. He was an expert carpenter for over 30 years, and he learned the trade of welding. He worked for Matt Pursel at IR Engraving … which he enjoyed.
He is survived by his mother, Ruth Hicks; two sisters, Patsy Holmes (Gordon) and Linda Main; brother, Durward Hicks (Betty); a niece & nephew; and his lifetime friend, Marcia Billow.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2021 in Sunset Memorial Park, 2901 W. Hundred Road, Chester, Virginia 23831.
In memory of Norman, please make a donation to your favorite animal shelter. Ray love the many dogs and cats he had over the years. Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
