Thomas C. Stewart. Sr. of Hartford, CT beloved husband of Cheryl L. (Nelson) Stewart passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 30, 2021. Born April 23, 1942 in Hartford, CT; son of the late Eugene and Marion (Johnson) Stewart. During his high school years, he was a 3-letter man at Weaver High School class of 1960. He earned his associated degree from Fayettville State University and was a 4-letter man in sports, basketball, baseball, track and football. He coached St. Justin's Basketball for several years and was a member of twelve supporters and Carpe Diem. He was recognized for being the first black driver at UPS in the Hartford area, loyally serving for over 35 years until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

In addition to his wife, he was a loving father to three sons, Thomas C. Stewart, Jr., Troy C. Stewart, and Tyrone C. Stewart all of Hartford, six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. He also leaves a brother, Tony Stewart and his wife Joyce of Hartford, sister, Linda Stewart, of Hartford, sister-in-law, Regina Stewart of Gary, Indiana and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Eugene Stewart, his uncle Art and aunt Marie Johnson.

A walk-through visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 10-11 a.m. at the Lodge Community Chapel, 130 Deerfield Road, Windsor, CT.
