Mrs. Baker was born in Aiken County to the late Johnny Wilson and Edith Cook Creed. She was a member of St. John United Methodist Church, Graniteville, SC, the United Methodist Women, and had served in their choir. Libby delivered Meals on Wheels and visited church members who were in hospitals and homebound.
Left to cherish her memory with her husband, Gerald are her children: Philip Baker (Robin), of North Augusta, SC, and Jeryle Lynn Baker Reed, of Graniteville, SC; her sisters, Kathy Leopard, of North Augusta, SC, and Mary Adams, of Augusta, GA, and her grandchildren: Morgan Arthur (Ryan), of Wilmington, NC, Samuel Baker, of North Augusta, SC, Madilyn Reed, of Graniteville, SC, and Lindsey Baker, of North Augusta, SC.
The family will greet friends on Saturday beginning at 12:30 in the Bessie Pearl Williams Building of St. John United Methodist Church, Graniteville, SC, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 2 o'clock in the church sanctuary. Interment will follow in The Historic Graniteville Cemetery, Graniteville, SC. Pallbearers will be Samuel Baker, Ryan Arthur, Lawrence Baker, and Gerald McNutt.
