Son of Rose Evans and Orvale R Evans. He was a graduate of Newark High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1972-1975. He was a shipfitter by trade, working at various shipyards in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Guam. Retiring in 2012, he returned to the mainland to be close to family. He was predeceased by his father; and brothers, Richard Evans and Phillip "Toby" Evans. Surviving are his mother Rose Evans; brother, Terry (Linda); and sister-in-law Debra Evans.
