Jack M. Hodges, Jr., 71, died Sunday, November 29, 2020. Born in Hampton, he was a 1967 graduate of Kecoughtan High School and then graduated from Georgia Tech. He was a member of the Buckroe Fire Department and worked for Powers Business Machines until retiring in 2013 after which he went to work for Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Jack was a lifetime member of Elks Lodge #366 and had been a huge supporter of Phoebus High School Softball and Football. He was a huge New Orleans Saints fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR, especially Denny Hamlin. In his younger years he enjoyed deer hunting and golfing.

Preceded in death by his father, Jack M. Hodges, Sr. and his dog, Precious; survivors include his wife of 20 years, Carol Anne Hodges; his daughter, Jacqueline Denton and husband, Nathan; son-in-love, Bryan Wallace and wife, Courtney; step-daughter, Bethany Couper and husband, Josh; step-son, Andrew Barker and wife, Meghan; his mother, Dorothy Pauline Hudgins; a sister, Becky Hodges; three brothers, Larry Hodges, Eddie Hodges, and Paul Hodges; seven grandchildren, Hailey, Matthew, and Amanda Denton; Carley, Cole, and Liam Weisenberger, Joseph Couper and Kenzie Couper; his great-granddaughter, his "little pumpkin spice", Scarlett Michele Denton; and his cat, Spike.

The family will receive friends from 2-4pm Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Langley Christian Church, 175 Fox Hill Road, Hampton.
