Mrs. Oliver attended the University of South Carolina and was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran serving as a Staff Sergeant in World War II. She was retired from the Veterans Administration Regional Office in Columbia, SC and was a longtime member of Shandon United Methodist Church in Columbia.
