David L. Gamble, 71, of Floral City, FL, passed away on April 7, 2021 at his home under the loving care of his family and Vitas Hospice.

He was born to the late Lenzo and Martha L. (Speer) Gamble on March 17, 1950 in Jamestown, AL. He made Citrus County his home in 1953 after moving from Alabama.

David will be remembered for his love of hunting and fishing and being a true outdoorsman. He enjoyed nighttime bon fires, cold beer, and country music. He was a Rock Mining construction worker for many years and bravely served our country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Judith Brandi Medina in January of 2019, his two brothers, Charles and William Gamble, and his sister, Sue. Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Douglas A. Gamble (Mary) of Floral City, FL; his brother, Carl Gamble of Alabama; his sister, Cathy Parker of Palm Coast, FL; his four grandchildren; his two great-grandchildren; and a family friend, Janice Medina of Floral City, FL

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at 12 Noon, from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home in Inverness, with Pastor David Lucas of the Inverness Church of God, officiating. Burial will follow at the Florida National Cemetery, with full military honors rendered in honor of his brave military service. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until service time. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL.
