He was preceded in death by grandparents Gene and Ova Gilbert, Robert Piper, Peggy Piper, stepmother Teresa Gilbert, aunt Gloria King, and uncle Randy Martin. He survived by his son Zac Gilbert; parents Michael Gilbert and Vickie Crotts (Robert); loving partner Kristie Lawrence; siblings Kevin, Amanda, and Stacie (Chris); grandmother Mona Piper, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The visitation will be Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 at Peoples Chapel Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 8, 2021, at Valhalla Cemetery at 2:00 P.M.
