Edith Parnell West Anderson went to be with her Lord on April 5, 2021. Edith was born June 16, 1926 to William and Mary Crenshaw Parnell. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Burnice W. West and John Foster Anderson Jr.; her beloved grandson, David Louis Guinn Sr.; her brother, William Alton Parnell; and sister, Margaret Parnell Long.

Her family were farmers from Grays Creek, NC. After graduation, she came to Fayetteville and worked at Belk. She married Burnice West in 1944, and attended Worth Business College. She eventually obtained employment at Equifax Credit Bureau. In 1972 she married John Foster Anderson Jr.

She retired after 33 years of faithful service, earning the accomplishment of manager, of which she was very proud.

Mrs. Anderson was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was kind, loving, gentle, and was dearly loved by her family and her friends. I believe you could ask anyone that knew her, and they would testify that she never complained and always had a kind word of encouragement for all those who met her. She will be truly missed.

She was a member of Campground United Methodist Church for over 25 years. She loved the Lord, her church, and was a faithful member of the Wesley Anna Sunday School Class and Wesley Anna Circle. She was active in the Golden Elite Group and enjoyed their many trips. She was an active member of the Macguire Chapter of American Business Women's Association for 32 years, and served as past president. She loved to travel and thoroughly enjoyed her retirement years.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda West Guinn Robertson (Ken); son, Jerry Norris (Rita); Grandchildren Donna Faye Guinn, Michael Norris, and granddaughter- in - law, Karen H. Guinn; Great grandchildren, David Louis Guinn Jr. (Kara) and Heather Guinn Stone (Johnathon), and four great, great grandchildren.

She is also survived by two step-daughters, Sue Anderson Stevens and Kathy Anderson Faulk (Gary); step-grandchildren, Brett Baxley (Gloria), Katie Baxley Cox (Joe), Angela Lenard, Susan Ranno (Paul), and Melody R. Page (Mark). She was also blessed with ten step-great grandchildren, and six step-great, great grandchildren. She was also blessed with several special nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Campground United Methodist Church, 4625 Campground Road, Fayetteville, NC 28314, on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Please adhere to Covid restrictions.
