George R. Stephens, 70, of Sutherlin, passed away on March 27, 2021 at Sovah, Danville. Born on September 5, 1950 in Pittsylvania County, he was the son of Samuel Eugene Stephens and Nora Reva Calloway.
Survivors include two daughters, Reva Glass and Tanisha Williams; two sons, Gary Stephens and Troy Stephens; two sisters, Evelyn Stephens Bowman and Pyrine Stephens Fitzgerald; a brother, Stonewall Calloway; and a host of grandchildren and other relatives. He was predeceased by two sisters, Rosa Stephens Calloway and Elder Pinkie Reva Walker; seven brothers, Samuel Stephens Jr, Elix Stephens, Charlie Stephens, Larson Stephens, Orlando Stephens, Gene Calloway and Cheyenne Calloway.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
