Thornton – Cynthia "Cyndi" Joyce Thornton, age 54, of O'Brien, Florida passed away December 17, 2020 at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. She was born January 22, 1966 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Willard D. Thornton and Anna Joyce Morris Thornton. Cyndi was raised in Baker County and graduated from Baker County High School in 1984. She enjoyed spending time with her family and engaging in conversation. Cyndi was an avid Florida Gator fan but her first love was her dog, Katie. Cyndi is preceded in death by her parents; uncles, Earl and Estelle Thornton; and aunt, Linda Thornton.
Cyndi is survived by her uncles and aunts, C.L. (Doris) Thornton, Jimmie (Jean) Thornton, Douglas Morris, and George Morris; brother, Chris Thornton; nephew, Zachary Thornton.
A Celebration of Cyndi's life will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Ferreira Funeral Services. Interment will follow at South Prong Cemetery
