GREGORY L. MATTHEWS, age 53 years of Jackson, passed away Tuesday, September 01, 2009 at Allegiance Hospital in Jackson. He was born on March 2, 1956 in Jackson, the son of James and Phyllis (Rutan) Matthews. Gregory graduated from East Jackson High School in 1974. He served his country for 4 years after graduation. Gregory is survived by his parents, two brothers, Mark Matthews of Anderson, Indiana and Dennis (Rhonda) Matthews of Jackson, niece, Rachel and nephew, Ryan and many friends, especially, Angie. In accordance with Gregory's wishes he has been cremated and their will be no public services.
