BONNEAUVILLE Sara L. "Sally" Weaver, 76, passed away after a long illness on Sunday, October 28, 2007, at home surrounded by family. She was the devoted wife of Roger R. Weaver, to whom she married June 10, 1950. Born August 27, 1931, in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Margaret (Strausbaugh) Legore. Sally was a 1949 graduate of Delone Catholic High School. As well as being a homemaker to her husband and children, she worked in the family business, Weaver's Hardware and Grocery in Bonneauville. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, the Bonneauville Catholic War Veterans Ladies Auxiliary, The Sweet Adelines Quartet, and The Hanover Community Singers. With her gift of voice, Sally served as church choir director, cantor, lector, and Eucharist Minister. She was an avid NASCAR fan and a collector of porcelain dolls. She also enjoyed to fish and golf. Surviving are her loving husband of 57 years, Roger R. Weaver; seven children, Roger "Dan" Weaver and wife, Toby of New Oxford, Beverly Ann Seymore and husband, Dennis of Dillsburg, Jessica C. Hill and husband, Bruce, Tracy L. Zimmer, Dale "Nick" Weaver and fianc<6>e, Becky Durick, all of Gettysburg, Holly S. Fissel of New Oxford, and Michael P. Weaver of Bonneauville; 13 grandchildren, Dane, Ronda, Ryan, Jason, Mark, Alex, Shane, Brett, Joel, Nathan, Nick, Colby, and Allison; five great-grandchildren, Saranda, Aislinn, Maclean, Tanner, Connor, and Lily; four stepgrandchildren, Cheyenne, Amanda, Josh, and Bradley; one sister, Joan Noel of McSherrystown; and three brothers, John Legore and wife, Viola of Bonneauville, C. Alan Legore and wife, Vonnie and R. Anthony Legore and wife, Rita, all of Hanover. Sally was preceded in death by a son, David A. Weaver. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday at her church, St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 12 E. Hanover St., Bonneauville, with the Rev. Caesar A. Belchez officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 8 p.m. to be led by Deacon Richard Weaver, on Wednesday at Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 66 E. Hanover St., Bonneauville. A viewing will also be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. Serving as casketbearers will be Jason Seymore, Joel Hill, Nick Weaver, Josh LaBure, Mark Seymore, Nathan Hill, and Dane Ways and as honorary casketbearers will be Viola Legore, Joann Greist, Barbara Clabaugh, and Irene Shank.
