Kay Ruth Bowie, 72, passed away on Monday, April 5, 2021 at Manor of the Plains, Dodge City, Ks. She was born Nov. 4, 1948 in Spearville, Ks. the daughter of Thomas Carl and Naomi Helen Woodworth Bowie, Sr. She was a lifetime area resident, she helped at Arrowhead West.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Hanston, Ks., participated in the Reach Organization, Night to Shine and delivered Meals on Wheels.
Survivors include: sister-in-law, Deanna Bowie, Dodge City, Ks.; nephews, Shannon Bowie, Preston Werner; nieces, Wendy Hoss, Kellie Werner, Vickie Rodriguez and Mary Ann Clapp.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Lee and Thomas Carl Bowie, Jr. and two sisters, Ann Werner and Helen Bowie.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 9, 2021 at United Methodist Church, Hanston with Pastor Peter Mtuamwari and Rev. Jeff Hiers presiding.
