LANCASTER Catherine (Brasch) Rupp, 102, passed away Saturday at Manor Care Nursing Home in Lancaster. She was the wife of Joseph Edward Rupp who passed away July 12, 1962. Born in York, she was the daughter of the late William M. and Catherine M. (Brickner) Brasch. Mrs. Rupp was employed as a telephone operator and bookkeeper at Fulton bank for 17 years. She also worked for the First Federal Savings as a bookkeeper, before retiring at the age of 65. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in York, where she graduated from grade school, then was married in the church in 1929 and then moved to Lancaster. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and over 50 group senior citizens. Survivors are her sister, Naomi B. Schiding of York; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Caroline V. Althoff, Mary Olga Brasch, Grace Brasch Gabriel, Germaine Brasch Smith; and two brothers, William J. and John G. Brasch. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 558 Walnut St. Lancaster, at 11 a.m. with Fr. Michael Grab, as celebrant. Friends may be received from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment in St. Joseph's New Catholic Cemetery.
