Paula K. May, 90, formerly of Pleasant Gap, passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021 at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born on July 5, 1930, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late Paul E. and Kathryn M. (Hite) Lego.
Paula was a 1948 graduate of Frankford High School in Philadelphia. Paula was a secretary at Penn State University for over 30 years before retiring. She was of the Protestant faith.
Paula enjoyed puzzles of all kinds, especially jumble puzzles. She also enjoyed traveling with her travel companion, Ed Tiedeman, and shopping. She was an avid shopper on QVC and enjoyed decorating her home for all the holidays. She treasured her family and loved every moment she was with them.
Paula is survived by her three sons: Paul A. May and his wife, Kim, of Julian, Michael L. May and his wife, Katia, of State College, and Kevin May of Zion; two grandchildren: Erin Stover and her husband, Brian, and their son, Cayden, of Folsom, CA and Jared May and his wife, Sarah, and their daughter, Maddie, of Fairway, KS. She is also survived by two brothers: Samuel Lego and with wife, Andrea of Bella Vista, AK, and Donald Lego of Wichita, KS. one sister, Nancy Strickler and her husband, Ronald, of Belleville, and one sister in-law, Joan Lego of Philadelphia.
Visitation will be on Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 10-11am followed by a memorial service at 11am with Pastor Theresa Heiser officiating.at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Centre Hall. Burial will be private at the Pleasant Gap Lutheran Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 4250 Crums Mill Rd #100, Harrisburg, PA 17112.
