Mr. Paul Carol " Buck " Gibson age 87 of Plott Rd. Young Harris and also of Blairsville passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 6, 2021 at Stonehenge Assisted Living following an extended illness. Mr. Gibson was born on Sept. 15, 1933 in Blairsville, GA., the son of the late Paul Gibson and the late Nellie Brown Gibson. Buck owned and operated Guck Gibson Mobile Homes in Blairsville from 1975- 1990 than became a builder and built many homes in Union and Towns counties. He was a veteran of the US Army of the Korean War. Buck was an avid golfer and loved traveling. He was known for his generosity and his caring nature. He was a loving and caring father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. Buck was preceded in death by his wife June Plott Gibson in 1998, two sisters, Ethel Gibson and Betty Jean Taylor and one brother, Earl Gibson. Buck was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.

Surviving Mr. Gibson are two daughters and sons in law, Mitzie and Steve Holloway of Young Harris, Sandra and Eddie Alexander of Blairsville, one brother and sister in law, Harold and Odena Gibson of Blairsville, two sisters and one brother in law, Lilly Vee and Randall Adams, Alene McCarther all of Blairsville, five grandchildren, Caroly and Brandon Dills, Jeremy Holloway, Kelly Holloway, Paul Alexander, Mark and Kennetha Alexander, six great grandchildren, Carly, Allie, Logan and Jenson Dills, Sawyer and Mattie Kate Alexander, several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday April 8. 2021 at 2:00 pm from the Cornerstone Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Alexander, Rev. Asa Dockery and Rev. Todd Flanagan officiating. Special music will be presented by Chris Adams. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Jeremy Holloway, Steve Holloway, Brandon Dills, Eddie Alexander, Jamey Gibson and Mark Adams. Interment will follow in the church cemetery where he will rest next to his beloved wife June. The North GA Honor Guard will conduct Military Honors. The family will meet with friends at the Cornerstone Baptist Church on Thursday from 12-2:00 pm.
