George L. Gardner, Sr., of 56 Rosella St., died Friday. Born in Ticonderoga, N.Y., Jan. 1, 1902, he made his home in this city for many years and was employed as a machinist by Blair Manufacturing Co. He leaves two sons, George L. Gardner, Jr., of Chicopee and Donald Gardner of Windsor Locks, Conn.; five daughters, Mrs. Alfred Beroth of Hartford, Conn., Mrs. Angelo Guido of Windsor, Conn., Mrs. Leigh Hunt of Windsor, Conn., Mrs. Ira Brackmann of Thompsonville, Conn., and Mrs. Chester Polanczyk of Windsor Locks, Conn.; two sisters, Mrs. Fred S. Neddo and Mrs. Delia Brockney of this city, and 11 grandchildren. He was a member of Trinity Methodist Church. The funeral will be at the Byron funeral home Monday afternoon at 1.30, with Rev. H. Hughes Wagner officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 p. m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m.
