Ann Randall Taylor, 87, of Oakboro passed away Sunday morning, March 28, 2021 at her home.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00PM Friday, April 2, 2021 at Rocky Mount Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Billy Hill and Rev. Coley Rimmer will officiate. She will lie in state at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood Thursday afternoon from 2:00 until 6:00 and Friday morning from 9:00 until Noon.

Ann was born January 9, 1934 in Anson County to the late John Frank and Ora Braswell Randle. She was a 1952 graduate of Ansonville High School and a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Melvin Taylor Jr. of the home; one son, David Taylor (Kathy) of Locust; one daughter, Susan Taylor Burgess (Steve) of Oakboro; three grandsons, Andrew (Kimberly), Brian and Cooper Burgess and seven great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law Libby Taylor Nance of Polkton; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Bill Randall, Fred Randall, Polly Baucom and Kate Coggins.
